Aurora's Dance

Voy Kay 22 Dec 2019

Sunday morning and really motivated to finish another painting. My choice fell on this one since I had one small (10"x10") cardboard canvas left, already covered with black gesso.
A difficult part was that Bob's piece was painted in an oval and mine was square, so had to take good care of dimensions and locations. The aurora went well yet I failed again to use my professional Titanium paint iso the cheaper ones that I have. So the blending went a little ackward at first yet I managed to get it right with some cloth and a small brush. Most fun were the trees, the grass and the fence. I was less happy with the cabin since I love doing them yet not microsized. My usual pallet knife was way too big so I know what to ask for next Christmas! Had not enough room for some water so it's more of a puddle then a lake.
Little over two hours to complete this and yes, I can recommend it to everybody since fairly easy to do and fun!

Almost two months without comments …. guess this was indeed a poor painting after all … and I tend to agree with that.

Love it.

The colors are awesome. Great job!

Well Bobert …. this is really a nice painting to do but it needs a BIG canvas for sure. Then all colours and specially the evergreens will be 100% okay. Thanks for visiting!!!
