This is the 2nd time I made this painting. First time was not on a canvas, but on primed paper. This one I made on request for my parents on a large canvas. I hope they like it!!😀

Thank you Sunnylady for your kind words. About the primed paper, that really works very well for me, I take a large canvas, I wrap it in newspaper, then I tape the paper on this canvas and put it on my easel. I think the results are not so much different. For practice purposes this primed paper is excellent. If I want hang it on the wall, then I use a real canvas board, but I make about 2 or 3 paintings in a week and my house is not big enough to keep all those canvas boards.

Birches and water are amazing! How did you find going with big format versus primed paper?
