Brown Mountain

Lydia 23 Mar 2020

For the first time, the bushes have become good.
I'm looking forward to helpful tips.

Lydia, bushes are not easy indeed as there are few of things we need to remember and that is very difficult when we paint. 1) preserve dark inside the bushes. 2) think what shape bush has it would be either big sphere or combination of smaller spheres. 3) Think if where the maximum of the light will be and where the darkest point on EACH sphere. 4) Every object needs to have highlight, shadow and middle toneS.

I keep struggling myself with the bushes because of the #2 as I tend to just apply highlight to whatever place I imagine to paint bushes and everything becomes flat when too much highlight color it just becomes circle and not a sphere. I don't know how overcome that yet...
