Hidden Winter Moon Oval

lightsnow 28 Mar 2020

Painting # 44 and pretty much an impromptu one today. I've been attacking my "to paint" list lately. With the lockdowns and the quarantine, I have more time on my hands, and this has been a lot of fun. Yet another black canvas painting. I overshot my mountain and made it a little too large, so it took away the space I needed at the bottom for the cabin, but I just improvised and added snowy bushes. This one was also very laid back and pleasant. It took me 90 minutes from start till finish, but this one was not really complex. I also used a cheaper store bought knife that I got for 5$ rather than the Ross brand knife that is 3x as expensive, and I don't find there is any difference. If anything, mountains were actually better today. 18x24

I have the Bob Ross knives, but kinda prefer the cheaper hobby store versions. You've done a great job; you've really mastered the oval contact paper. Great work!

The mountains ,trees and especially bushes are wonderful.
Well done.

Great creation again Lightsnow. The resolution, the sharpness of it really moves me. That's what black gesso and liquid clear does to a painting, I so much adore that!

Thank you everyone. I've been on a black gesso and liquid clear kick lately. I'm really liking working with those mediums.
