This was my 18th painting. I tried a different technique for the mountain but it really did not work out well at all. Overall, I was quite disappointed with this one. It was one of those days when things just don't seem to work out at all the way you had hoped. I was discouraged for a few days but bounced back quickly enough.

Following up on your comment on my Royal Majesty painting: I see what you mean here! The light is really lovely. The soft reflection in the water is perfect. You really captured those last moments of sunset and appropriately, the foreground is pleasantly dark (with a really remarkable level of detail).
You mention in your comment that your were disappointed with this painting, but it's really very good. It's got a subtle quality that I, for one, prefer over the original.
