Overall, I'm not real happy with how this one turned out. The colors were darker than I would have liked and I feel like it gives this painting a kind of a depressing feel. This was my first time painting the ocean and that is a skill which I need much more practice with. I need to focus on making a cleaner break between the water and the sky. I also need to be more conscious of how I load the paint on my brush and pull the brush out to a sharper edge to make finer lines.
That being said, I did enjoy painting the fence. Mine looks pretty messy but I liked creating all the different fence posts. I also think my sky turned out nice with really good looking clouds.
