Black canvas paintings are hard, but I think I am starting to get the hang of them. I think it's critical to mix the colors that you put on top of the gesso with linseed oil to get them to the consistency of the liquid white they are in the place of. This painting was fun and required a lot of trickier reflection work. My path isn't great, but considering how some of my earlier black canvases turned out. This one is great!
