The Footbridge

After painting what was supposed to be the dead old tree I found myself feeling a little sad that it was old and dead, so I gave him some nice red leaves. Having some weirdnesses with my midnight black lately, which is for some reason turning out quite purple!

Midnight black from Bob Ross does not contain black pigments, It consists of alyzarin crimson and phtalo green. This is why when you add white it gives not a gray color but a purplish. This is absolutely good in this painting, because your sky is yellow.

Great idea for the tree! I do not like the tree I painted in the same episode. I think its location is very awkward, but I like yours, i think leaves are a game changer!

Thanks, Sunnylady, that's good to know about the midnight black! I like the effect that it created, I was just surprised by it!
