I really liked the way that the grey gesso in this painting creates a nice, muted sunset. I decided to go for a slightly different tone on the rock in the front and trees that would give it more of a west coast vibe. A fairly simple painting, but quite satisfying!

This turquoise color of the water is fantastic. I like to see the free hand in the foam patterns.
