I wanted to more closely replicate the colors used by Bob in his version of this painting that hangs in the Smithsonian — heavier on blues and greens, and a bit darker.

I think you did a great job replicating those colors, congrats on that. I really like your evergreens!

Wow how did you make those evergreens?! I love that highlight color.

Thanks, lightsnow and PaintRML ... the highlight color on the evergreens is the same deep mix of sap green and pthalo blue. I add a little black for the base color, and a tiny smidge of cad yellow for the highlights. But both are actually pretty dark green. Just enough of a difference between the two to be very subtle highlights. Appreciate your comments! Cheers.
