Mountain Challenge

Gandalf_55 23 Jul 2020

This is my 7th painting and the first one I’ve done with only the use of the palette knife. This is a bit different from bobs version because I’m gradually trying to move into my own style and composition. I’m trying to not copy his paintings frame by frame as much anymore. I did this painting over the course of two sittings a day apart because this is a wet on dry painting and doesn’t need liquid white. I really enjoyed working with the colors and doing the water. I definitely over applied the snow on the mountains and I think my foreground sticks look a little funky but overall I’m very happy with this one and want to try another knife painting soon!
