I mask my ovals, etc, with card cut outs, we don’t have that tacky paper here in the UK, so I often get paint bleeding over the boundary. Any tips on how to keep the masking firmly in place? The oil from the paint seeps under tacky spray!

I used building tape to make a border but i got another problem this sticky glue got dissolved by the solvent i used and stuck to the canvas. May be better quality tape would make a work. With ovals it will be challenging but i think still possible because you can apply many short ones to make a oval shape.
