At Dawn's Light

TheLandscapePainter 28 Aug 2020

Have been wanting to paint this one for such a long time. I've used the first of a batch of new canvases which have a lot of tooth which I'm not used to but I think I'll get used to them with a bit of practice.

There is recommendations based on the tooth to use more or less paint layer. If this tooth is disturbing and you dont like to work with it you can try knife paintings, or give it extra layer of gesso.

I think you made beautiful color scheme here, sun is shining through the sky and depth is good with slightly musty purples!

Thank you Sunny. The extra layer of gesso worked well on my next one After The Rain. Also the layer of liquid clear gave me the "slip" that I'm used to so I'm really pleased my canvas isn't working against me!

This is INCREDIBLE. I love the colors and your style! Wow. I will be following you for a long time!

Thank you for the complement Rock. Happy painting.
