I think this is by far one of the easiest paintings, especially if it's the first one. But I think Bob forgot to mention that liquid clear is needed over the gesso. I always get lured into thinking, "maybe not this time," and then have to add it after I started because I can't move the paint.

Golden color of the river is just amazing! this is great contrast to the purples in the sky thus making this golden look even brighter and shinier!
