I think this would have worked better with more crimson in the background ridge of mountains.

I think if you tried to lighten the value to the right it would create an illusion of mountain range receding in the distance and creating more depth. I think purple would be a bad choice for far away mountain as sky is blue.
The shape of the ranges is awesome as your evergreens, shoreline and details in the foreground!
