Mountain Glory

happylittletreeshhi 14 Oct 2020

3x3”, I got super muddy on this one. I’m once again exhausted from overdoing everything in my life so this was a quick one before bed.

I used a 1/2” brush instead of the two inch, a makeup sample knife in lieu of the palette knife, a fine detail nail brush for the limbs, and a teeny tiny fan brush (size 20). I made my liquid white and black with linseed oil, and basically follow Bob’s instructions exactly.

Wonderful!
You know, even a 1/2" brush sounds giantesque for this canvas, amazing how you can control that!

I use the corners! It actually goes super fast; I use a 1/4” on some trees and bushes but for skies and water I’ve managed to find my groove with the 1/2”! Bob uses a 2” on a 16x24, so the 1/2” works perfectly on the 4” canvasses, but I have yet to find a 1/3” brush anywhere around me that I feel like would work.

Honestly I need new brushes. Can we collectively play the mega millions on this forum and just move into an artist commune if we win? Cause I’m broke.

Hahaha, happily made me smile here with those mega millions. Then we all could paint mega sized creations!!
Wish shipping costs from Usa to Western Europe were cheaper, else ...

I shipped to Ireland for $38; I think that’s a general rate for overseas! They’re super light.

Pfewwww, pricy!! Can those be send by bubbled envelopes?

I usually use dvd boxes but yes, I have padded envelopes as well!
