Winter in Pastel

Sunnylady 07 Nov 2020

Voy, thank you very much for your time!
I enjoyed the painting together process!

We went crazy and experimented with color, texture, mixing.

Time flew like crazy too! The painting was so much fun!

Same with me, my darling friend!

And how well your creation came out! Your sky is so well mixed and that snowfield is really catching all eyes!
The highlights on the evergreens are an excellent addition to Bob's idea.

SUPER my dear, and thanks again!!

Thank you Voy!
I did not manage to produce mid ground bushes and decided to add a bit of snow to the evergreens instead as the tree on the left was covered with the snow. I did not want evergreens were envy. :)

I mentioned it in the thread, such a nice initiative. I have seen you use gouache recently. It is very interesting that it really works for Bob Ross scenes. But I know you are technically very good and can handle different mediums. So it is not a surprise for me that you gouache paintings are really well done. I mean all of them, sorry I didn't have the time to check the paintings on a regular basis in the last week. Thus there where no comments from my side. But just to let you know I like your Gouache paintings!

@Pietro, I will be looking forward your painted travel report!

@Tom, yes, it was very nice to paint along! I am in self isolation that finished yesterday, but since I have food enough for a week I will stay longer in self isolation. Here I have found old 8 years old gouache and since there was nothing else to do on my weekends I decided to learn it and I wanted to paint really badly.
Thank you for your kind words! I am very happy that you liked gouache. It behaves nice and some behavior I already learnt how to handle. Need to learn how to make clouds. Also wanted to share with you that I will be trying water colors again I got absolutely stunning brushes as present. May be I can take a lesson from you?

Well Sunnylady, I am not sure if I could teach you something :) Your paintings look like professional works. Especially the oil paintings. But as Bob said, painting is a feeling like everything you do with your hands. The more you practice the better you get. Watercolor is maybe a bit more tricky than other mediums but it can create effects other mediums can't do. I hope we can arrange something, currently I am very tight on time :( But I think we will find a way...

Oh Tom, thank you very much. Your kind words make me extremely happy. Thank you for them! You are absolutely right about learning and practicing! I hope one day I'll sell my painting for 1 million dollars! :)
