Warm Winter Day

sap712 17 Nov 2020

This is my third painting. I'm still working on making the highlights on the trees and bushes work. I also think I used a little too much Liquid White for the base.

I’ve added too much liquid white on more than one occasion and it certainly does add challenges later on. One thing you can do after applying it is to take a paper towel and wipe some of it off. I forget the episode, but it is mentioned in the series a good way to check to see if it’s the right amount is to put your finger on the canvas. You should still be able to see your finger print through the liquid white. If you can’t, you’ve got too much. You’re off to a great start! Keep it up!
