Final Reflections

HappyLittleCloud 09 Feb 2021

My first #13! I happened to have watched this episode before I tried it and knew there would be water so I added some in when I did the sky and left room for it when adding the dark. Simple, clean painting. Will be a fun one to do with friends!

This is so peaceful and pretty! I love the detail in your foliage, those bushes look amazing. How did you keep them from getting muddy with the underlying color?

I second what lcleonard said! It's a very beautiful, clean painting.

Beautiful!

Looks very neat and manicured! Love it.

@LCLeonard Thank you! I used to have such a hard time with brush and bushes! The best thing I learned is, even though he might not show it, Bob is using a lot of magic white / liquid white when he highlights these. A quick dip in that, then the color, then apply. Even without much pressure the light color will stick to the rest of the paint. I think what helped me with this the most was doing the "tree" section of the Bob Ross workshop. Literally made a huge difference having him explain. Look up "Bob Ross Workshop Part 1" on youtube. I think it's after the sky section.

Very nice job with your foliage!

Thanks for the tip! Huge help
