Forest Hills

Most challenging yet. Painted and scraped mountains about 10 times. I’m still not happy with them and need more practice I guess. Foothills did not end up looking like foothills. And in the end it just got to be too much paint everywhere, making it very difficult to get the leaves to stick. All that being said I think it turned out okay, Not great.

I love it! Perfect waterlines and the overall feel of the painting is fantastic

Your mountains are gorgeous!

I think you got your efforts paid off with those beautiful mountains!

For foothills - you are on the right way. You have 3 foothills. The simple reason why you are hesitant is because the second foothill has shore line closer to the horizon line (upper) than the first and closest to the mountain and it messes the perception of the water. If you extend the shore line down on the second foothill may be 1/8 inch below the first one it will settle it in the painting. No issues with the third one.

It is a great painting and you are harsh to yourself. You as many of us are learning and it will continue the whole painting path, And each next painting will have its own challenges that we will learn to resolve. by training ourselves.

I think your mountains are great. Also love the sky and the evergreens and the leafy trees. It's a beautiful painting. We are all so hard on ourselves.

Wow at the mountains, if I could get them even half as good as that I’d be very happy with myself. You did a great job, very beautiful, and such a gorgeous sky too!

The water reflection is perfect and your trees are so realistic and beautiful.
