Forest River

22 Feb 2021

On stretched canvas 30x40 cm winton/gogh oil, only skipped the tree lying on the ground. Painted the stones in three strokes: dark, light and the upper edge.

Great job i like the colors and depth

I love the hazy effect you have here, and some great reflections int he water.
So much depth and the tree highlights are just beautiful.
If the tree laying down didn’t fit in your world it doesn’t have to. That’s what I love about Bobs works, they’re adaptable.
I love the stones too, no way I could do a stone in 3 strokes, you have great technique!

Thank you so much Mrs C (and jimbasha)! The reason for the three strokes is because one stroke (as Bob does) wil not work for me ... Oh the highlights on the tree are just happy accidents!
