Acrylic on canvas 16 x 20. I think I made a colossal fail on this. Im not sure exactly what went wrong..but I ended up redoing the background trees....and I'm just not sure if I like this or not.
I would have uploaded more images of my journey to this mess but I can't. Lol

The waterfall looks great! Water is moving.
I think night scenes are challenging overall as one needs to figure out where light is coming from and what is that main focus in the darkness of night.
Thanks Sunnylady. yes you are right these night paintings are hard. I think what is happening for me is the colouring. Working with acrylics is challenging and I am forever adapting for it. The blue never showed up originally and the painting looked black and white only. I then added blue to background trees... And not the sky...i think that I need to stop comparing it to the original and see the colours and painting for its self. ( I'm probably just too critical on my own work.)
