Snowfall Magic

Umagaan 01 May 2021

I really like the soft sky. The big trees need some more work, I'll upgrade them once the painting is dry because the paint just didn't want to stick no matter how thin I made it. The background trees gave me some troubles trying to find the right values. The river would probably be better if it was more yellowish to reflect the sky. Loved flicking the snowflakes to the painting. Painting the big trees was certainly my favorite part. All in all I really like the way this turned out. Canvas is 40x50 cm, landscape orientation so it'll fit in better with the rest of my paintings.

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

This is GREAT Umagaan! From the African fields to the snow! WOW!!
Background trees are well done since there is quite some snow around and that blurs sighting!
Your trees scriptliner works VERY well in here, it is just a wonderful scenery!

Incredible softness, calmness and beauty! The group of trees is fantastic! I love soft curves in trunks and brunches.

Amazing! One of my favorite paintings, as well. In fact, I gave it away to a friend. But yours, creates a mood. Exquisite trees, and the snowbanks are beautiful. I want to walk around!

Lovely

@Voy thank you 😁 Yes this is very different from my African paintings, and it's quite a challenge because it's quite a bit more difficult and complex to paint... But it was fun. Can't wait to paint again!

@Sunnylady the painting gives me the feeling of peace and quiet... I really tried to make the trees a bit bendy and not too straight.

@Gaynej thank you 😁

@Mgiese84 thanks 😁
