Portrait of Winter

Antonia_91 17 May 2021

I have found that I look at the world differently now. I pause to really take in what surrounds me. The mountains and the mist beneath, the trees and their different shapes. Thanks Bob. This is my fifth ever painting. Getting a thicker titanium white and scraping excess paint changed a lot when working on the mountain something that challenged my previous attempt. The paint started to break on its own. I still have a lot to learn though.

Super realization on your part about noticing your surroundings more - I also noticed that I looked at trees differently. I notice the shape of distant forests, or the randomness of tree branches, and how leaves can vary so much from one plant to the next. Anyhow, great painting, keep doing what you're doing!

Mine is the clouds, I'm constantly staring at them. This is a beautiful painting

Thank you ShadowscarsDragon. I too look at trees more intently and especially the leaves.
Thank you Toadi. I too look at clouds differently, noticing that they are not all are white.
