The book version of this painting is really quite spectacular; one of the best I've seen, with a bold sky and subtle lighting near the cabin. In trying to go quickly, I think I missed some opportunities to capture some of what makes that version special. I would be more careful if I were to paint this one again.

That bright cloud is stunning,
Beautiful painting Dracula. I think this a one of the best cabins in terms of proportions and how well it sits in the landscape. Glow of the sky is really well done with calm ground that brings some spring feel into the scene.
