Evergreens at Sunset

Kaylee 17 Aug 2021

I waited for this one to dry completely before I took the photo. Each day I seemed to like it more and more as it dries and in different light. I think if I do this one again I might use less liquid black, it went on a little heavy which caused some struggle πŸ˜‚ 10 days later, I think I really love it

This turned out very nice. My version of this painting looks like a forest fire had just passed through.

Nice work. I want to do this one myself sometime.

Beautiful! I did this one not long ago but I really like yours more! Well done.

Thank you everyone! To your point on the fire Amanda, it’s coincidence you mention it, as we were getting severe smoke in my area of Utah and the skies actually made similar appearances! I think that might have been a subconscious approach to the changing skies I was experiencing! Have you been getting Smokey skies as well? I have noticed a couple others from painters here with similar remarks!

Kaylee we have had smoke in Virginia for a while now. There were days they recommended that people with breathing issues to limit their time outside.
