In Bob's world he left this episode kind of bland. So I added all kinds of happy things to give it some character. Adding the clouds and the stream I think it made for a much better painting.
Ty Sandy. And yep give them our own touches
That cabin's pretty cool; unlike most of Bob's, yours has definitely been maintained throughout the years. Also, I get the feeling that addition is actually a sun room overlooking the water. Nice painting.
Well done! Nice relaxing feel and the cabin and fence detail really pops.
I love all of the things you did to change this up! That cabins looks like one I stayed in on a little trip to northern Michigan - love the porch windows detail! Adding the stream and the clouds just make for more interesting viewing! Also I never mentioned that I do notice that you have your "trademark" red tips on the fence posts.
Thanks everyone. Very kind. And Pam, yea unless it's a winter scene I kind of like putting in the red tips on the fence posts. Bob says that way the wood doesn't rot.😀
Holy cow! I love this, and that cabin is awesome! You are a true “cabin master.”
PS I had all four kids (ages 10, 9, 7, 4) with brushes in their hands today painting two separate happy skies from the workshop DVD on fancy Amazon cardboard. I was only a coach and professional brush washer, but it went pretty well! Less is more sometimes with such a crowd.
Thanks HLarson. And great to hear on the kiddos. Once my nephew gets old enough I'll get him trained lol
Matt you really punched this one up. I will reference your version when I get to it. It’s much prettier than Bob’s imo. Of all your cabins I like this one the best. Top job!
Thanks so much Brian! It's different from all of Bob's other cabins he did.
Gorgeous Matt! All the little changes are so beautiful. I didn't see this one. I think I got to be a member soon after your painting was posted.
Thanks Nancy. And as you complete Bob’s paintings you can check out my version as you go haha
