I painted this from a photo I took on my honeymoon, haven’t painted flowers before but wanted a challenge. Ended up buying a new paint color midway in because I just couldn’t replicate the true color with the normal “Bob” collection. I swear by Permanent Rose in watercolor, still figuring out how to operate it in oil. I had trouble making it electrify. Overall though, I’m happy with it!
Very nice. Gary Jenkins can help you with this technique, you'll find him on utube, search pink hibiscus. I did it a while ago and it turned out ok, I'll upload it for you. I use Bob's landscape paints for flowers but I do have to soften them, adding a bit of liquid white does the trick.
