Seasons Greetings my friends on 2”B. For his Australian Run, Santa has a special team of snow white kangaroos - the ‘Six White Boomers’, led by the intrepid ‘Roo-dole’. To avoid detection, he harnesses the Boomers under his ghostl;y gum tree in the Red Centre with his Aussie Helpers, and then they have a brew (campfire cuppa), some toast and vegemite and some plum pud from the tucker bag to fuel themselves up for the trip. This fun painting was quite a challenge open a 14 x 11 inch canvas. These are the first animals I have painted, so jumped into the deep end - double the number given that I did a practice painting the day before. ‘Tis the silly season after-all! Many thanks for your comments. My warped sense of humour was able to shine a bit in this one. My i-pad must have a word changer in it (given that I load my paintings from the iPad as that is where I can control the cropping lines - so poor old 'Roo-dolf' suffered a name change.
