The idea behind this painting was to create a representation that is somewhat darker, more mystical and somewhat influenced by the fantasy worlds. I primed the canvas with slightly gray gesso and applied the moon / planet after drying. For this I used gesso ( white )and acrylic paint ( black ) )and dagged them with a natural sponge and crumpled tape. There is a tutorial by J, Kirkham which is very interesting. No liquids were used. The canvas was completely dry. In contrast to my normal approach .. I also did not draw oil from the paint but painted directly from the tube. Works excellently on polished ground ..I then continued to fill the sky from the moon/planet and then continued to paint as usual.Despite the gloomy idea, I tried to keep everything very soft. Finally I added the crows and equipped them with red eyes (red with neon pigment)as a warning sign for the things that are coming .. Due to the small size (1,2 cm/ 0,47 Inch),I plotted the outlines of the crows with the Cricut and then filled them to my taste. So now it is up to you to judge whether you can understand this feeling and whether you like it

I love this composition and all its special effects. I was especially drawn to the spindly branches, the very active crows and the soft fog settling on the water. Great job!
Hey Kerri, thank you very much for your great words. I am very happy that you like the painting. I can recommend the lasur white from schmincke for the fog effect. I already used it for the last painting ππΌπ©πͺ
