I also sketched this of a squishy I own. I like that there wasn’t a lot of texture in the squishy so it was easier to sketch. I am very happy with her mane and tail. I was afraid to shade too much and ruin her cuteness. But I think I did just enough shading.

Shading to much (and thus overworking the painting) is something a lot of artists struggle. Great for you to already be aware to stay clear from it.
