Was a nice day outside so I sketched this out on the deck. I sketched me and my sister’s batons. It was the first time I have ever tried doing a metal looking texture on a sketch. I think it looks ok.

Great job ESCM! I like your technique with pencil. It looks so easily flowing onto the paper from your hand. As soon as I changed from separate strokes to the method I use now I cannot switch back.
Your technique requires more discipline and I think more artistic.
Very good work! Try to do texture of a wood while you seat at the deck next time. You may even add a little ladybug to that wood surface. It will be very cute.
