Original Creation

An Alaskan Summer

Kaylee 13 Dec 2021

I completed a giant 32x32” canvas (it took me two days) and I have to say, bigger canvas comes with many new challenges. Scale is where I had most the trouble! I could have kept the mountain going forever but when it came to the foreground, I struggled. I think it still came together, though my happy accidents are hidden all over the place :)

Lovely mountains.great job.

Awesome everything! You could sell this to puzzle makers. Superb mountain and pines. Even the background trees are distinct but not too much so. Great job.

Thank you so much Alex and Pietro1963! I was so negative about this one when I finished it, it’s awful confusing sometimes how these paints dry. Sometimes not to differently but other times I’m very surprised! I think this painting offered me a lesson in being a little less hard on myself. You all are so kind.

Great job! I used to do a lot of bigger canvases in my early art life and they take a lot more patience, time, and paint.

Great sky!
