I cobbled this last winter painting for the season together on a 16x20 canvas, taking inspiration from 2 Bob Ross paintings and a KevinOilPaint work.
It was the first time I've painted a bird in the foreground and created my own work by pulling elements of inspiration from a few different paintings at once. It was a great exercise in learning how to branch out and see what you can come up with on your own :-)
Super Kerri!
Thank you RebeccaJ and joha59☺️
Wow, this looks amazing! The details in the snow patches on the branches are insane. Needless to say the cardinal looks great too! Very nice contrast with the grey / white imagery.
Thanks so much aarroonn for your kind words. I find the half-sized round brush really helps by making it a lot easier to place snowy highlights on trees/bushes :-)
This is beautiful creating your own art piece is bring joy to the soul, lovely.
Thank you so very much for your supportive comments paintcrazy19 ☺️
You're welcome KerriG, keep up the good work
Love the detail of the cardinal. I haven’t worked with the round brushes yet. I’ll have to pull them out!
