Painted for friends who lost their beloved pup much too soon. This took me more hours than I would care to admit - spent at least a month and several revisions before I got her looking how I want. Just need to varnish before giving this to her family. I took some liberties with the eye color because the reference photo was dark but hopefully they won’t mind. I’m most pleased with the background. First time doing grass close up and I love how it turned out.

Thanks Dave! I just dropped it off and they liked it :) Her husband said the color was perfect which is a relief because that’s what I struggled with the most.
