Wire Fence in Winter • Nil Rocha

Ninoum 03 Feb 2024

I am proud to share with you all my very 1st watercolor painting. I went with one of Tom’s fav watercolor artist, Nil Rocha. I didn’t get my waterproof markers, so I used one that left some smudges 😕. I just wanted to start today regardless. It’s far from perfection, but we all have to start somewhere. I can only get better.

I did some tutorials on the watercolor techniques 2 days ago, upgraded to better brushes today and rolled my sleeves up for this project.

My opinion on this medium… I LOOOOOOOVE IT!! It’s I believable what you can do with it. I am so excited to finally tackle it. I haven’t even started to scratch the surface. So much to learn. But it’s all about having fun while doing it.

I added Nil’s painting to this post. 😊

My watercolors friends, please give me some much wanted feedback. Any chance you can share with me some valuable tips? Thank you in advance! 😀🤗

Awesome start! It looks like it won't be long before you master this medium. One day I will try watercolors.

Super Start , Nancy . 👍🏼🇩🇪

Thank you much Pam! 😊 I bet you'll be great too! Give it a shot!

I love that your snow has dimension to it and i like it is a bit yellowish as the light source is yellow too. Congrats with the first one in watercolor!

Thank you very much Sunnylady! 😃

Nice!

Thank you Tom! My pen work wasn’t the best… not enough fine point. I didn’t have the proper markers. Need to adjust my color intensity (more water). But for my 1st I was happy.
