Nivek, this is great colors and scene!

I will try to help about what i think might bother you in the painting. Perspective of the foam is a bit off. Foam is equally wide in front and at the distance. However when it recedes in the distance the width of the wide should reduce. Like a railroad. Another little comment the hill on the right is a bit too warm, dark and green considering it is not up close to the viewer. The distant hills are fantastic however! Also if you can think about adding more shadows to the foam in front even it is a nice calm day it will create a bit of contrast and will create a closer plane. However this is where I ask to think and look at reference material as it reads as a bit on a cloudy side of a day and then shadows don´t need to be that strong. I would suggest to look at the paintings of many people on the internet and see how similar situation has been resolved by them.

Hi Sunnylady, thank you for your comments, I agree that its mostly the water and foam thats not quite right ( the closest hill can easily be lightened) so I will do some research and attempt to correct it, just a "happy accident" which looks a little flat and lifeless, I will repost after repairs! 😁

Very nice. I like the shades in the sand and the distant hills are really nice.
I would agree with Sunnylady; the foam pattern seems a little off. I would say that because of the perspective, the foam is a little bit too wide, and too sharp. The waves will approach the beach, so I would suggest that more even lateral foam (narrower, but less horizontal difference as they progress vertically; if that makes sense) would seem more natural to my eye.

@Nivek - I hope no offence taken. I think you have selected a wonderful topic to paint! As i said color choices are wonderful. I am sure you will figure out and adjust it as you consider the best for the painting to shine . I will be looking forward to see the next version!

First off, ocean scenes are a challenge to get to where your eye doesn't spot anomalies. Overall I really like to feel of this painting...the background mountains, clouds, colors, sand texture, and the cove curvature. As suggested above, some softening of the intermediate background would help create distance, and some added detail / movement / shading in the foreground water would take this to the level. Great first attempt!
