An adaptaion of "Golden Glow".
12"x12" canvas. Liquid Clear and Permanent Rose base. Titanium White, Quinacridone Magenta, Payne's Grey.
The last painting I did was "Golden Glow" from The Joy of Painting and during the episode Bob suggests trying it with other transparent colours in place ot the indian yellow. I had some Permanent Rose and Quinacridone Magenta that I haven't really used, so I decided to experiment with them. I also decided to add a mountain because I haven't done that many of them and I need practice.
My magenta was a quite oily so by the time I got to the foreground I was mixing a lot of mud. But hey, it got me off my butt and painting again after a month and a half.
It is a pretty glowing color. Nice effect
A delicious alternative to the original--well done!
