These paintings are some of my favorites to do. Before I retired, I used to snap photos of the sky on our way home from work for inspiration. (Hubby was driving)

Your paintings have some of the nicest and most dramatic skies i have seen, great job!.....Welcome to TIB

Beautiful sky, love the silhouette of the tree.

Really, really nice. It seems it would be difficult to create an evening/night-time scene. But you have excelled at it. Love it.

Real nice! Well done

Oh this is so lovely, the colours are coppery and gold, id love to witness that sky myself, how on earth did you get those beautiful colours, what did you use?

Mrs C,
I started with a black canvas, and liquid clear. Then added the colors from there, if I were to do this again, I think I would use Bob's technique of applying the translucent colors in the sky first. And see how that works.
Thank you for your kind words😁

I want to have a go at this, what yellow and copper colours did you use?
I'm sure I wont get the same effect and will maybe do the Bob method, but that coppery dark look is just lovely!

Mrs C, it's been a while, but try alizeran crimson and yellow ochre or Indian yellow. 😁
