Original Creation

Arizona Foothills

I supported a friend who was running a 100 mile foot race in the desert. It was an exciting and fun event. Quite humbling to witness runners from across the country attempt this feat. I ran with him for a few hours throughout the night. On the next evening, as the sun was setting, I snapped a picture of the glorious desert sunset. I don't live in the desert, so all of the plants and cacti enchanted me. I created a watercolor to capture the feeling.

Those sunrise colors are breathtaking! Great job!

Western State Endurance? I had dreams of doing one.. Reminds of low desert. I've seen skies that color.. it's always inspiring to see. Great job on capturing it

Very warm, I need a drink! Excellent colours.

@wybnormal this was Javelina Jundred. We both ran Western States a few years ago, though. He finished, I did not. I'm hoping that some races will proceed starting next year.

Amazing colors! recently I was on the flight and i saw sunrise over the window while still seeing starry sky. Colors were so close to what you depicted in the desert. I would never guess they could be so strong and so similar! Great painting!

I was thinking that people in the different parts of the world thought about desert when decided to participate in Event about the Water. That is fantastic!

Stunning sunset desert scene!
