Mountain Cabin - Nil Rocha tutorial

Tom0779 20 Nov 2023

An other creation I did recently. I really get the motivation back to paint with watercolors. They have been my favorite medium in the past.
This is an other picture based on a tutorial by Nil Rocha.
I have added a second photo which shows some of the equipment I use. @DaveJ: in case you have any questions please let me know.
Watercolors and ink on paper, postcard size.

Another beautiful WC that you painted Tom, Love it. Many thanks for the additional equipment pic. An oil to finish before I start WC. Cheers

This is super cool! 😎

Super Tom, super scene👍🏼🇩🇪🇦🇹schön das du deine Motivation wieder gefunden hast

You’re really amazing at WCs!

Watercolors are a beautiful medium when done well. You do them very well. If they make you feel good, stick with them! This one is as spectacular as your others!

Really love this one too! You get such awesome detail with watercolors!

You really make me fall in love with watercolors and I’ve never tried it! Lol! This is so beautiful. The details are incredible!

Thanks Dave. I use the Pigma Micron fine liners for the ink drawing I do. I think I never mentioned them, but they work nice for me and they aren't too expensive.

Thank you Cosmo!

Danke Dirk, ja die Motivation für Aquarell ist wieder da. Für Öl ist es mir zu kalt in der Garage.

Thank you Bob. Actually I started painting with watercolors, so I have more experience with them.

Thank you Tomi. I like oils too (and I also made a lot of paintings with acrylics) and I will for sure switch to oils again. But currently in mood for watercolors and I paint with oils only in the garage, which is not the warmest place currently.

Thank you Sandy!

Thank you Nancy, this type of painting is very much to the drawing part with ink. This allows details very easy.

So nice! Beautiful detail and love the mountain!

Thank you Brian!
