My painting from last weekend. It is very similar to mountain river I painted last week. This one works with light and shadow contrast having some sunrays and and some bright parts as well as some shadows.
It is a painting I used liquid black in the middle part to create the dark band of trees. This worked perfectly. Overall it took me around 90 minutes for the complete painting including brush washing.

Love it Tom! Again, your highlights really indicate without a doubt where the sunlight comes from. We can also tell that this is probably a little after the sunrise, after the pink and orange colors vanished. It is replaced by a strong rich yellow hue sunlight. Gorgeous compo!
