I was inspired by looking at DaveJ MJS Tutorials paintings. I had never seen MJS before. Its a paid subscription but he has an oak tree tutorial video for free so had a go. Its an interesting approach the guy basically paints every leaf virtually.. I didn't :) but enjoyed having a go.. he does some amazing grass texture .. blade by blade !! amazing
David, it looks great. You have also captured the depth of the tree well and also the amount of sky you see through trees; as well as the background trees and grass and trunk with shadows. Well done.
Hi DaveJ, thank you for your kind comments, its an amazing technique he has come up with, if somewhat time consuming .. but his and your results are well worth it .. I enjoyed having a go.. happy painting to you
