With the weather we have here, full of sunshine and high temperatures, there is only one subject left to paint: a seascape with palmtrees (from a live YT session) and it should be not too difficult, but it was not easy to get it right on the canvas, still wondering how Josh gets the wave with the knife so beautiful, but a lot of fun to do, on canvasboard of 30 x 24 cm.
This is awesome! Seascape with crashing waves is on my wish list… you have done this soo beautifully!! the colors, the palm trees, the splash… gorgeous! Love it!
I like that.
I think I'll have to find that video.
Thank you so much for the lovely comments Helen (just did the trees like Josh did indeed with some small branches between the big ones makes the look fuller, glad you like it) Carolyn (i would say: go for it, I can recommend the live sessions of Josh, he often does seasacapes) and Regan (here it is, but there are more versions, he paints a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kA045c3OoQo).
Superb version!
Super palmtrees, Jos. 👍🏼🇩🇪🇳🇱
Great job! My last painting was a tutorial from Paint With Josh. I love his technique for palm trees. I had a tough time with the knife for the wave, so I had to switch back to my trusty, old fan brush. Love the texturing of the sand! 🙃🙂
Really beautiful work...just love seascapes!
A beauty J!
Thank you for all the kind words Stephanie, Dirk, Kerri (I did the main wave also partly with the fanbrush), Sandy and P!
Love those trees!
Excellent job!!
Thank you Bob & Michael!
Beautiful. Great work with the beach colors and detail.

I like your method for the palm trees. The fronds look much fuller than just stroking them once with the fan brush. Love the aqua colour in the wave too, you would know its a tropical beach even without the palm trees. Really nice.
