Watercolor and ink on paper | 9”x12” | I’ve been slowly working on this one in pieces since Christmas. This isn’t really my style, but it’s really good practice to help me define lights and darks.
The colourmixing is remarkable. Gonzo shines like never before!
I watch this movie every Christmas. I wish this could be submitted into the holiday contest!

Voy Kay, thanks for the color-mixing feedback. I heard from a watercolor podcast that this one artist never premixes watercolors on the palette, but always mixes right on the canvas. Most of the time, I try to do that now in order to create more interest. I suppose BR actually suggests the same thing with oils by encouraging brush mixing as much as possible.

I really like the ink and watercolor with the Muppets! The medium gives an old school feel to these old school characters. Great job!
Thanks, I really enjoy the line and wash technique. I currently use a brush pen and it gives that nice thick dark line, but I want to experiment more with something just slightly thinner. The thickness of this line almost reminds me of a comic book!
