Watercolor on paper | 9”x12” | This is a quick sketch and painting based on a photo of a monastery in Georgia. The middle section of the building got really muddy when I accidentally added too much payne’s gray to the arches and I could only lift so much of the gray off. I would have preferred a bit more yellow to reflect in that section, but such is life.
