Oil on canvas | 8”x10” | This got a bit muddier than I anticipated, but that was to be expected because I was trying to focus on loosening up my style.
I probably do need to try getting further away. I do try to hold the brush by the end, but often find myself getting to close to the ferule as a habit. I have also tried larger brushes. That really pushes me, but I need to push myself more. Good reminders!

Have you tried to stand a bit farther and hold your brush to the tip of the handle? And use 2sizes bigger brush than normally? Both things together or separate?
