Watercolor on paper

This was a study I painted from scratch, composing as I went. I wanted to see how watercolors vary from oils when it comes to landscape painting. While I enjoy watercolors, I think I still prefer oils. The reason I’d like to use more watercolor is for ease of transporting a small tray rather than my palette and all of my paints.
Yeah, I need to learn how to better desaturate some of these colors. I probably need to premix rather than trying to mix on the paper.
If you’ve never tried watercolor, it’s a very different medium that I’d recommend checking out. I personally find the transparency and flow to be really fascinating.
