Oil on canvas | 9”x12” | This is a study based on a photo I took years ago. My goal was to keep the paint pretty flat (not heavily textured) while still maintaining the impressionistic feel.

I really love this painting. The flower is so 3 dimensional and really 'pops'. The background is really interesting but muted allowing the flower to be the star.
