Acrylic on canvas | 8”x10” | Continuing in my seasons series, I was excited to test out a replacement bottle of titanium white that FolkArt sent. The first bottle I purchased was runny and felt like craft paint. The new bottle they sent had a rich, creamy consistency and created some great texture for the snow. I tried the Bob Ross approach to snow, the first I’ve ever done in this way and think it turned out alright.
Thanks! Fortunately, because this is acrylic, it’ll dry a bit faster. But whenever I do heavy impasto work, I find that it definitely takes weeks for oil to dry to the touch. I found that carving my signature into the paint is more effective than thinning my paint and trying paint on top of the impasto texture.

Nice! Loving your seasonal series. That snow will probably take forever to dry! I did a painting with impasto snow and it took 5 weeks to dry to the touch LOL. I like your signature "carved" in the snow.
